This beautiful floating hotel is 36m long and carries 48 passengers. There are 23 cabins spread over 3 decks, ranging from double/twin berth to quad cabins. All cabins are air-conditioned with TVs and en-suite bathrooms. Guests tend to socialise most in the lounge and enjoy the bar, library, games and full entertainment facilities.
Daily departures from a transfer vessel (Aqua Quest). (Note Wednesday departures will be on Ocean Quest as will Sunday return to Cairns).
Ocean Quest caters for Snorkellers, Certified and Introductory divers.
The new OceanQuest is a 35.7m catamaran over three decks. She has 1 quad share, 18 twin shares and 4 double rooms giving us the capacity to sleep 48 customers overnight on the reef in unrivalled comfort and luxury. A quad-share cabin is the same price as a twin.
All rooms have en-suite facilities as well as TVs, bar fridges and internal phones. There is a large saloon area on the wheelhouse deck with a bar where you can relax and kick back after a long day diving. The main deck has a large dining room capable of comfortably seating 48 passengers.
There are 14 Permanent moorings on the Outer Barrier Reef (including Norman and Saxon reefs) that ensure minimal damage to the pristine coral formations.

Our dive sites are frequented by a myriad of tropical fish and include the ever-popular large Maori Wrasse, who are always diver friendly. The swim-through, wall and drift dives will appeal to every level of diver experience.

On Cairns’ OceanQuest both breakfast and lunch are served buffet style. Breakfast consists of bacon, sausages, eggs, bread and cereals. Dinner is served buffet style. Lunch and dinner normally consist of a meat or seafood main course with side dishes of vegetables.
Desserts include chef’s favourites such as sticky date pudding and apple pie with ice cream, often served after night dives. On arrival, the Chef will check if guests have any dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free, and can cater to such needs.
